Warner Hotels - Gunton Hall

First visit for two day weekend. It was fine, the place was clean, but our premier room was a little tired. The bed was not comfortable and the matress had two thin toppers, and small holes in the pillow cases. That apart it was a reasonable stay, the service was excellent, in the reception area, the restaurant (our waitress Lizzie was lovely, very professional, lovely personality and made meals very pleasant and made sure table was cleared quickly. It was a buffet breakfast and evening meal which they managed to maintain a fresh look about, and meals were fine and hot. Entertainment was OK, very suitable for the middle to senior age group. No kids a bonus, we've already done our bit. We did not partake of any of the activities, of which there were many, as we had not pre-booked, so I advise when booking to look at what you fancy. Drinks prices reasonable. Would have been nice to have a sports channel.

Had a lovely stay here , returned home today , food was good , comfortable room , nice bed and breakfast, however, the main rooms were not warm , lots of people in coats , the acts were great , especially the lady who did dolly x although enjoyed all of the acts . Just needed more entertainment during the day, especially as it was so cold . Having done potters and warners over the years , warmers need to do more to keep the clients happy, also the drinks are expensive

Visited 6th Feb 2026 and stayed in garden Lodge 70yrs and 75 years. Luggage kindly delivered to Lodge if required. Lodges overlook grounds and lake, plenty of wildlife and a compact site. Lodge very comfortable. Food buffet style, very nice. Our waiter Ben very helpful and enjoys his work. Entertainment very professional. Shaun the heart of Gunton involved in lots of activities and entertainment too. The band was good and singer Jenny was lovely and so were the 2 dancers/singers who all performed Rock of all Stages brilliantly. Re-Take That were amazing Enjoyed a massage at the Spa and a swim. Only minor improvement suggestions - mat needed at Lodge entrance, path to lodges need more light at night, food choice cards writing could be bigger please! Really relaxing break can't wait to return Deb and Pete

We have just had the best Christmas at Warners Gunton Hall. We could not fault it. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, the food was absolutely amazing. The catering staff had obviously worked very hard. The brilliant pantomime and fireworks all added to our fabulous experience. We can’t wait to visit Gunton Hall again but although our chalet was clean, warm and perfectly adequate we will upgrade our room. Thank you Warners.

We visited in February so the weather was not it's best. However we enjoyed the good food and entertainment. The staff were helpful and friendly. The standard room was good value, clean , tidy. Bathroom was a little tired. The biggest bug bare was the electric panel heating in the room. We had to turn it off at night as it was creaking and rattling as it heated and cooled. Otherwise a good stay , the grounds and setting was lovely, plenty of wild life roaming around, that's the bunnies, dear , birds and not the other residents

Gunton hall is lovely, a very social place, like most of the Warners. We had Dance Afloat, that involved Ballroom and Sequence dancing, the floor was packed, it was good to see. The staff, especially Shaun the chatty one was brilliant with the guests and the quizzes went well with the two girls, sorry i cant remember their names, but it was a lovely time spent. We will come back again.

Former holiday camp and although a little tired it was good value. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Always courteous and helpful. Room was clean and had all we required. Food of a good standard and plentiful, with lots of choice. We were fortunate with the weather after a dismal few months so got out and about in the gorgeous countryside of the area. Had it been poor there was ample to keep us entertained and we could easily have stayed on site if we had wanted. Good location for many places to visit.

Overall enjoyed the break in October 2025. Location itself is nice and quiet however without transport is difficult to get around, Google sid it was 20 min walk to the bus stop and a big Tesco was 10 mins away, nothing much else. Unable to walk round the pond/lake due to weather (that's England for ya!) but looked nice. Not all activities suit everyone so its definitely a place good for relaxing, playing games (cards), reading or walking but as went in Autumn could be different in summer. I would summerise the entertainment mainly as quizzes and music/dancing albeit them of quality.
